Reading the book alone is not enough. Covers a lot of ground but does it without overwhelming.
Definitely an eye opener for how a web team operates. While this book does have example exercises and files, it felt like there was far too much explaining and talking, and not enough doing.
The students are encouraged to continue developing their skills exploring subjects introduced in the book, like responsive design and progressive enhancement. Dec 08, Susmoy Bhattacharjee rated it really liked it.
With frameworks and some of CSS tweaks you can create exceptionally looking static website or template, don’t see the point in reading long books about it as everything can be learnt wev need arises.
The book main quality is the way it’s laid out – with lot of nice illustrations and different colors most important things are highlighted, examples for each and eeb thing mentioned is included, there are even some small funny comics inside making it a very well put together book. Want to Read saving…. You will have to open your text editor along with your browser to practice what you learned and make mistakes. It is easy to read with some humour robblns the side.

The book main quality is the way it’s laid out – with lot of nice illustrations and different colors most important things are highlighted, examples for each and every thing men “Learning Web Design” written by Jennifer Niederst Robbins is book intended for beginners in web design profession.
Where this book excels is with the introduction of new HTML tags and CSS rules with useful information about browser support and techniques that allow older browsers to benefit from the features of newer language code. Evolution of web design is anyone’s guess, but with this book every beginner in web design will get a good foundation what can be done with technology these days. And this is book of Give that girl a star!
I liked how it had real activities that you could go download and work through.
Learning Web Design, 4th Edition – O’Reilly Media

With a pen and a piece of paper, answering these tests means that you are done learning the theoretical part of this chapter.

Learning Web Design, 5th Edition
This book contains a lot of exercises and Test-Your-Self at the end of each chapter. So, generally speaking I recommend it to learniny who want to start coding in html. Surprisingly funny – her silly jokes really keep it a light and interesting read.
As a web designer and developer, must of the information mentioned here are not new.
