So, what has changed in the intervening years? The”Accused” review by Suzanne Dowling. I honestly loved her reading style. I find that the semicolon also works nicely when trying to consolidate a sentence or two. It’s almost as if Scottoline has tried to make Mary and her family similar to Stephanie Plum and her family.
Maybe the writing is just too simplistic, character development fairly absent except for the fact that we keep hearing about Mary’s impetuous nature scottline really translates to adolescent actions and the plot too by-the-numbers. Opinion about the main character: Neil Patel, the family lawyer, helped cover it up by paying a lot of money to Allegra’s secret boyfriend’s mom for her cancer treatment, which is why Lonnie ended up changing his plea to guilty and going to jail for 25 years.

I really needed a good mystery and Accused delivered for me. She passes notes to a co-worker during a business meeting and mentions something about “breast feeding” her.

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. This includes Mary’s parents, their three friends named Tony ‘the three Tonys’ and Anthony’s mother and brother – all very traditionally Italian. She is a thirteen year old genius who believes that her sister’s accused killer Lonnie is innocent and has been sitting as an innocent man for the past seven years in jail and she wants the firms help to prove it.
One other problem – Allegra. I was also not heavily drawn into this case. It will take a team of unstoppable female lawyers, plus one thirteen-year-old genius, to find out. I will continue the accusrd as I want to learn about these ladies, especially Bennie who is an enigma to me. Lisa has over 30 million copies of her books in print and is published in over 35 countries.
